Pool Maintenance Manager - 5-Star Luxury Hotel - Saudi Arabia
Apt Resources is seeking an experienced Pool Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety standards of all swimming pool facilities for a prestigious 5-Star Luxury Hotel on the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure that all pools, water systems, equipment, and surrounding areas are maintained to the highest standards while complying with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise daily pool maintenance operations, including water quality, filtration systems, pumps, and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure all swimming pools are maintained according to luxury hotel standards and local health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and maintain proper chemical levels, water balance, chlorine levels, pH levels, and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inspections of pool areas, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance issues and coordinate repairs.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for pool machinery and systems.
- Manage pool cleaning procedures, including skimming, vacuuming, backwashing, and water treatment processes.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, safety procedures, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, and Recreation teams to ensure smooth pool operations.
- Train, supervise, and guide pool maintenance staff and ensure proper work practices.
- Maintain accurate records of water testing, maintenance activities, chemical usage, and inspections.
- Manage inventory of pool chemicals, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Respond promptly to guest concerns or operational issues related to pool facilities.
- Support emergency procedures and ensure guest safety at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pool maintenance, preferably within a 5-star hotel, luxury resort, or high-end leisure facility.
- Previous experience as a Pool Maintenance Manager, Pool Supervisor, Recreation Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Hospitality Management, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Relevant certification in pool operation, water treatment, chemical handling, or facility maintenance is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Swimming pool water treatment systems
- Filtration and circulation systems
- Chemical dosing and water balancing
- Pool equipment troubleshooting
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ability to monitor and maintain proper water chemistry parameters, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and water clarity.
- Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards related to pool operations.
- Experience managing, training, and supervising pool maintenance teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Engineering, Housekeeping, Recreation, and other hotel departments.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining luxury hotel standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
- Good computer skills for maintenance reports, records, and inventory tracking.
