Ho-Chunk Inc. Management Services (HCIMS) is seeking a full-time Power Platform Specialist - Programmer. The Power Platform Specialist - Programmer is responsible for developing custom solutions and making modifications/enhancements to applications to meet emerging program needs and improve the efficiency of existing processes. The incumbent will work closely with program offices, subject matter experts and end users to gather, organize, and document project requirements throughout the development process. This position will actively engage with SharePoint Administrator(s) to provide technical support for SharePoint based custom applications, to include building workflows and automating processes. The position is based in Blackstone, VA at the U.S. Department of State, Foreign Affairs Security Training Center (FASTC).
Essential Functions
- Provide programming support to build and modify custom applications.
- Configure, integrate, test, implement, and validate new features and applications based on documented project requirements.
- Collaborate with other programmers to translate requirements into customized solutions.
- Build workflows and custom solutions using PowerApps and Power Automate/Flow.
- Assist with creating fully deployable solutions, developing project plans, writing SOPs/user guides, and providing technical training as needed.
- Leverage the integration of Microsoft 365 applications (to include Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.) with SharePoint to increase efficiency and develop new processes.
- Assist with analysis for deliverable improvements based on code performance and user feedback.
- Develop and maintain data structures, tables, and relationships within Microsoft Dataverse.
- Design, build, and support Power Apps solutions to meet business requirements.
- Create and maintain automated workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and implement technical solutions.
- Manage data integrations, migrations, and synchronization across systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance Power Platform applications and processes.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance within the Power Platform environment.
- Document solutions, procedures, and system configurations.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process automation and digital solutions.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to work outdoors where conditions may be unpleasant or uncomfortable, irregular and unscheduled hours and with exposure to personal risks.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.
Travel
Travels as necessary to other U.S. and foreign training sites, though it is not expected such travel will exceed 25% of total work time.
Experience
- Experience in an enterprise collaborative environment.
- Experience with front-end web development.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant certifications.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Power Platform Applications.
- Experience developing and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and data management principles.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Understanding of business process analysis, workflow design, and process automation.
- Experience integrating data across multiple business applications and systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to create and maintain technical and user documentation.
- Knowledge of Power Platform security roles, permissions, and governance best practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills to include data visualization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience reading native API and knowledge of programming tools/libraries for data retrieval.
- Able to perform assigned duties within a team environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience developing technical training tools and user guides.
Security Clearance
Must be a US citizen and possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000 per year negotiable depending upon education and experience.
