Premium Operations Coordinator - Remote
Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a Premium Operations Coordinator!
About the role
The Premium Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of premium payments for new and in-force business. This position is responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and processing funds received through various channels while maintaining accuracy across multiple systems and business lines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can independently research and resolve discrepancies to ensure financial integrity and operational excellence.
What you will do
- Review and process paper and electronic premium payments, ensuring negotiability and accurately allocating remittance information within the appropriate administrative systems.
- Reconcile daily funds processed against system entries, researching and resolving discrepancies while making necessary adjustments.
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy of financial transactions through detailed review and quality control practices.
- Support a variety of operational and administrative tasks as business needs and daily volumes fluctuate.
- Serve as a cross-functional backup for multiple processes, ensuring continuity of operations and team success.
- Identify and escalate issues as needed while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Compensation
Hourly Range: $22.00 – $33.95 plus eligibility for annual bonus programs

- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- A strong problem-solver who can identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Adaptable and willing to support a variety of operational tasks.
- Accounting, AP/AR, cash application, or related financial operations experience is a plus.
- High school diploma required.
