Preschool Principal (East) - WCDT

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the preschool.

• Ensure compliance with ECDA licensing requirements and quality standards.

• Oversee curriculum planning and implementation aligned with MOE and ECDA guidelines.

• Lead, mentor, and develop teaching staff to maintain high standards of pedagogy.

• Manage enrolment, parent communication, and community engagement.

• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.

• Drive continuous improvement in teaching practices and school culture.

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children’s holistic development.

Requirements

• Qualifications:

  • ECDA-recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Leadership (DECCE-L) or equivalent.

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in early childhood education.

  • At least 2 years in a leadership or management role within a preschool setting.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of ECDA and MOE frameworks.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage operations, budgets, and staff performance.

  • Passion for early childhood education and child development.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Other Requirements:

  • Must meet ECDA’s regulatory requirements for centre leadership.
