Preventative Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems according to established maintenance schedules.
  • Inspect equipment for signs of wear, damage, or potential failure and report findings to supervision.
  • Lubricate, adjust, clean, and replace components as required.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance areas and throughout the facility.
  • Coordinate with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Support emergency repairs and breakdown response as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to document maintenance activities in maintenance management systems.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
