Primary Care Physician Assistant (Regular FT)
This is OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until August 14, 2026. The initial cut-off date for referrals of eligible application will be June 14, 2026 with subsequent cut-off dates every month. Eligible applications received after that date will be accepted on an ongoing basis and qualified candidates will be considered as vacancies become available.
Provide comprehensive primary care and preventative care to an established panel of primary care patients, under the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model. The type of care is served to the Veteran population with diseases consistent to those seen in the general population include but are not limited to the following: acute and chronic illness, women's health, gender specific, mental health, and preventive care, along with coordination of care delivery. A major focus is on preventative medicine. Function as a leader in the PACT approach in the delivery of care, which emphasizes a team-based approach to healthcare. Participate in weekly team meetings and provide innovative management ideas for patient case reviews. Duties include, but are not limited to, history taking, physical examination, ordering appropriate labs, diagnostic tests, and consultations needed. Formulate multi-disciplinary treatment plans. Perform medication reconciliation. Document all medical information in an electronic medical record. Other duties as assigned. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
