Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do
As a Principal Advisor, you’ll provide expert, evidence-informed advice and leadership across complex workstreams, influencing decisions that improve outcomes for communities across Aotearoa. Working closely with senior leaders, sector partners, and communities, you’ll help design and deliver initiatives that are strategic, inclusive, and grounded in real-world impact.
Provide expert advice and analytical insight to support the delivery of the Suicide Prevention Action Plan, including secretariat support, engagement, and reporting
Lead and influence cross-Ministry and sector initiatives, ensuring alignment and successful delivery of key programmes
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across communities, providers, government agencies, and the wider health sector
Oversee complex projects and workstreams, delivering high-quality outcomes through strategic planning and execution
Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and approaches to support better outcomes

Sector expertise and/or lived experience to shape and support suicide prevention initiatives across system and agency levels
Experience leading programme design, implementation, and monitoring
Ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders across government, health, and community sectors
