Principal Cloud Architect – Public Sector

As a recognized technical leader, you will engage with executive stakeholders, influence technology strategies, and help customers accelerate their adoption of Oracle Cloud. You will play a key role in shaping solution architectures, guiding implementation approaches, and driving successful business outcomes for some of the most complex and strategic customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical advisor for strategic Public Sector customers, helping define cloud strategies and modernization roadmaps.
• Partner closely with sales teams to identify opportunities, develop solution strategies, and accelerate Oracle Cloud adoption.
• Build trusted relationships with technical leaders, business stakeholders, and executive decision-makers.
• Lead architecture design activities, technical workshops, executive briefings, and highly customized solution demonstrations.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures.
• Guide customers throughout the cloud adoption lifecycle, including discovery, proof of concept (POC), implementation planning, deployment, and optimization.
• Provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, application modernization, data platforms, analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
• Develop innovative solution frameworks, reference architectures, and reusable technical assets that can be leveraged across multiple customer engagements.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify customer requirements, influence product direction, and drive enhancements that improve customer outcomes.
• Mentor and support other architects, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Represent Oracle at customer events, industry forums, conferences, and executive engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud architectures.
• Deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and modern cloud-native technologies.
• Strong background in digital transformation, application modernization, data platforms, analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise integration.
• Proven experience engaging with executive stakeholders and influencing strategic technology decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary customer engagements.
• Strong consulting, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting public sector organizations, government entities, or highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
• English and Spanish proficiency preferred.
