An opportunity to build an AI-native data platform from the ground up within a well-established fintech environment. This role offers true ownership across architecture, data strategy, and AI enablement, combining greenfield delivery with the scale of an existing business.

The Role
You will lead the design and build of a modern, AI-ready data platform and act as the senior authority on data architecture.

• Define end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, modelling, and consumption
• Build unified data models and a metadata layer to support AI and business use
• Architect a Databricks and Azure-based lakehouse platform
• Establish ingestion patterns across batch, streaming, and APIs
• Embed governance, lineage, and security across sensitive data environments
• Develop customer and product data models, including customer 360
• Enable AI use cases including LLMs and agent-based systems
• Work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience in data architecture within fintech or SaaS
• Proven delivery of modern, AI-ready data platforms
• Deep expertise in Databricks, PySpark, and Azure
• Strong data modelling experience across dimensional or data vault approaches
• Experience with governance, metadata, and regulated data environments
• Exposure to Informatica or similar data integration tools
• Hands-on capability alongside strategic influence
