Principal Engineer, Collibra (Data Governance Platform)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Total experience 11 years+
  • Strong expertise in Collibra, Data Governance, and Enterprise Data Management
  • Proven experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain
  • Strong knowledge of Data Management Frameworks, Data Catalog, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage
  • Experience designing and implementing Global Operating Models (GOM) and Target Operating Models (TOM)
  • Hands-on experience with Data Quality, Data Privacy, and Enterprise Data Governance frameworks
  • Experience establishing Data Shared Services and Global Capability Center (GCC) operating models
  • Strong expertise in Demand Management, Portfolio Management, Resource Planning, and Resource Allocation
  • Experience defining and governing Service Catalogs, KPIs, SLAs, and Governance Frameworks
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale Data Strategy, Data Governance, or Data Transformation programs
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across APAC, EMEA, Americas, and executive leadership (MD/ED level)
  • Experience working with Collibra, Data Catalogs, Data Lineage, and Data Quality platforms
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including BCBS 239, ECB, Federal Reserve, Operational Resilience, and Data Privacy regulations
  • Experience leading global cross-functional teams and driving organizational transformation
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
  • Professional certifications in Data Governance (CDMP/DAMA/Collibra) or Project Management (PMP/Prince2) are preferred
  • Japanese language proficiency is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute the global Data Domain Strategy aligned with enterprise and regional data initiatives
  • Design and implement the Global Data Shared Services Target Operating Model (TOM) and governance framework
  • Develop multi-year roadmaps for Data Governance capabilities and transformation initiatives
  • Lead demand intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio planning across global teams
  • Establish governance forums, decision-making processes, escalation models, and accountability structures
  • Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, Service Catalogs, and delivery performance metrics
  • Drive standardization of enterprise Data Governance processes across global regions
  • Collaborate with business leaders, Regional CDAOs, Head Office, India Desk, and vendor partners to ensure alignment
  • Lead enterprise-wide Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Catalog, and Data Quality initiatives
  • Drive global transformation programs to build scalable, standardized, and efficient data capabilities
  • Lead senior managers, governance teams, and analysts while fostering innovation and capability development
  • Ensure successful delivery of strategic Data Governance initiatives across Americas, EMEA, and APAC
  • Support executive decision-making through governance committees, steering groups, and leadership forums
  • Drive continuous improvement of Data Management practices to meet regulatory, operational, and business objectives
