Job Description Summary

Level 6 will lead the technical development and delivery at Team, Lab and sometimes platform level. They can be a Line Manager who will act as co-lead with the Team PO for overall delivery. In these cases, they will be responsible for overall tech delivery, line management & app ownership alongside their own software engineering output. Others will operate as Individual Contributors, who are specialist experts in particular technology areas and will be narrower and deeper in focus, providing technology leadership, mentoring and guidance.

What you’ll need

• A proactive approach and ability to independently start projects, working successfully with multi-disciplinary, internal, and external distributed teams across the project lifecycle.
• Deep understanding of Node JS, React Typescript, and responsive web design. Preferably with reusable components as used by React.
• Deep understanding of Java, Quarkus or similar frameworks along with your knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong understanding of source code repositories and change management tools like Git.
• Knowledge of agile development practices and test automation, especially using tools such as Junit, Jest, Cucumber and Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of build processes and release automation, including using DevOps Pipelines, Nexus, SonarQube.
• Experience working with Private/Public Cloud (GCP, Azure, and OpenShift) really stands out.
• Strong grasp of the software development life-cycle, from inception through build to production.
• Trust yourself when sharing your opinions. Your ability to balance conviction with flexibility makes your input powerful. When you speak up, it really helps the team's decision-making and drives us forward.
• Excellent team working and communication skills.
