Principal Engineer - Wet Utilities
As a Principal Engineer in Wet Utilities within our Infrastructure, you will lead high-profile projects, ensure technical excellence, and maintain strong client relationships. You will provide strategic direction, mentor junior engineers, and drive the successful delivery of complex Infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of Wet Utilities for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong, productive client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for major projects.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules, ensuring optimal utilization and financial performance. Provide regular reports on project status, technical performance, and team development to senior management.
- Prepare reports calculations and design documentation
- Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
- Assist in managing Infrastructure projects, supporting senior engineers and project leaders in delivering successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related engineering field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Extensive experience in design of Wet Utilities including Potable Water, Sewer, Storm, Irrigation, District cooling, and Firefighting.
- Working knowledge of relevant software packages like EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD and SWMM.
- Experience and familiarity with the following programs is a plus: ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, HAMMER.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
