Principal Silicon Architect, SOC

Our client, a leading semiconductor company, is seeking a Principal Silicon Architect to drive the design and development of advanced System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead end-to-end SoC architecture across compute, interconnect, memory, I/O, and accelerator components
  • Translate product requirements into scalable silicon designs aligned with performance, power, area (PPA), and security targets
  • Develop and maintain architecture and microarchitecture specifications, including interfaces, data flows, clocking, and power strategies
  • Lead PPA modeling, trade-off analysis, and optimization efforts
  • Architect and integrate robust SoC security features such as secure boot, root of trust, and isolation mechanisms
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, verification, and system teams
  • Lead architecture reviews, influence key decisions, and mentor engineering teams

Qualifications

  • MS or PhD with 12+ years of experience in SoC architecture or design
  • Proven track record of delivering complex SoCs from concept through silicon
  • Expertise in CPU subsystems, interconnects (AXI/NoC), and memory hierarchies
  • Strong experience in system-level architecture, specification development, and requirements management
  • Demonstrated capability in PPA modeling and optimization
  • Experience with MBSE methodologies (e.g., SysML) and modeling tools such as Python, MATLAB, or SystemC
  • Solid understanding of hardware security architecture (secure boot, root of trust
