Principal Structural Engineer

**Position Overview:**

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Principal Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Cairo, Egypt. • Lead and direct the structural design of large-scale and complex building and infrastructure projects from initial concept through construction completion, ensuring design excellence and innovation at every stage
• Prepare, review, and validate comprehensive structural calculations, design reports, and construction drawings in strict compliance with international codes and local Egyptian standards
• Conduct advanced structural analysis and assessments for reinforced concrete and steel structures, optimizing for safety, durability, cost-effectiveness, and constructability
• Coordinate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, MEP, civil, and landscape disciplines to deliver integrated, cohesive design solutions
• Provide strategic technical leadership, mentorship, and professional development guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence
• Ensure all projects meet established timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks while maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders
• Develop and present detailed structural reports, technical proposals, value-engineering recommendations, and innovative solutions to clients and project stakeholders
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and evolving global design standards relevant to structural engineering
• Champion quality assurance initiatives and safety compliance protocols across all project phases, from design through construction
• Support business development efforts by engaging in client meetings, contributing technical expertise to proposals, and building long-term client relationships
• Analyze and resolve complex structural challenges through innovative problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Mentor team members in applying advanced structural engineering principles and best practices

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited university; Master's degree preferred
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent professional certification in structural engineering
• Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with substantial focus on large-scale, complex projects
• Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software including ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD, and RAM
• In-depth knowledge of building codes and standards such as SBC, ACI, AISC, Eurocode, and Egyptian building regulations
• Demonstrated expertise in designing reinforced concrete and steel structures for diverse project types
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver results on schedule
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a detail-oriented approach to design and documentation
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and persuasively
• Demonstrated experience in value engineering and cost optimization without compromising structural integrity
• Proficiency in quality assurance, safety compliance, and regulatory adherence throughout project lifecycles
• Experience delivering projects in the Middle East region is highly advantageous
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage
