Principal Trumpet (Full-Time, One Season/Possibly Permanent) – Local Audition

Local Audition: Tuesday, September 22, 2026

Members of the orchestra, other musicians who have performed at least five times with the Philharmonic during the past 24 months, and other individuals who are permanent residents within the geographic area of the jurisdiction of Local 58 shall be eligible to audition.

If a current member of the orchestra is awarded Principal Trumpet, the resulting vacancy may be offered as a one season/possibly permanent position.

*Current CBA includes 2025-2026 30-week season

Principal scale: $40.601.40

Full-time positions are eligible for health insurance and pension benefits

*Current CBA expires at the end of August 2026

2026-27 rates and terms pending outcome of negotiations

Audition repertoire will be posted soon.
