Printing Assistant (Manpower Services)

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Printing & Document Management

  • High-Volume Production: Execute the printing and photocopying of examination papers and critical administrative documents for mass distribution to staff, students, and management.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all printed outputs meet strict quality benchmarks and are free of defects.

  • Timeline Management: Organise daily printing tasks to guarantee all requested materials are completed on schedule.

  • Collation: Sort, assemble, and collate paper and documents according to specific instructions and requests from school staff.

2. Inventory & Logistics

  • Procurement Planning: Plan and forecast the procurement of printing papers, ink cartridges, and essential printing accessories.

  • Stock Maintenance: Monitor and maintain an accurate inventory of ink cartridges and toners for various printing machines; place orders when stock levels are low.

  • Delivery Verification: Receive, verify, and check incoming deliveries of paper and printing supplies against delivery orders.

  • Waste Management: Efficiently handle and dispose of used carton boxes and old newspapers to keep the workspace orderly.

3. Equipment Care & Administration

  • First-Tier Troubleshooting: Perform initial basic troubleshooting and handling when a printing machine malfunctions.

  • Supplier Liaison: Assist in contacting and informing third-party suppliers/technicians for scheduled maintenance or repair works when necessary.

  • Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative duties as assigned by the reporting officer.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Education: Secondary school education or equivalent.

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in handling commercial-grade printing and photocopying machineries is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Language: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic Mandarin communication skills are a distinct advantage for coordinating within the school environment.

  • Technical Familiarity: Comfortable with physical printing tasks, paper handling, and general hardware maintenance.

  • Traits: Must possess a strong drive, high enthusiasm, and a natural inclination toward practical printing and logistical tasks.

  • Absolute Integrity: Because this role involves handling highly sensitive documents like examination papers, the candidate must be exceptionally honest, reliable, and capable of maintaining maximum confidentiality.

  • Reliability: Proven ability to meet strict deadlines promptly under pressure.

Terms of Employment

  • Contract Duration: 1-year fixed term (4 June 2026 to 3 June 2027), with a school option to extend for an additional 12 months.

  • Work Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break).

  • Rest Days: Rest days on Saturdays, Sundays, and all gazetted public holidays.
