Rackspace Technology is seeking aPrivacy-Legal Interntosupport the development and day-to-day operations of our global privacy program. Thisentry-level internship is designed for current law schoolstudentswith an interest in privacy and data security.
This internshipoffers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in privacy,data protection, and records managementwithin a dynamic and fast-paced environment.You will work under the guidance and supervision ofanexperienced privacy professional, with structured training and mentorship.

Schedule: 20 - 25 hours per week
What You Will Learn
Practical, hands-on experience with privacy and data protection matters in a global technology company.

Cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Security, Compliance, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Support theChief Privacy Officerin developing theorganization’sprivacy program, as well as in compliance initiatives and risk assessments.
Conduct researchon global privacy lawsandemerging regulatory trends and prepare concise briefing memos and summaries for internal stakeholders.
Assistwithrecordsretention practices, including organizing retention schedules, mapping data types to retention requirements, and documenting disposition activities.
Helpfacilitateprivacyimpact assessmentsand similar reviews,including information gathering, documentation, and tracking of mitigation measures.
Assistwith intake, logging, and handling of data subject requests, including identity verification, status tracking, and preparing draft responses.
Perform administrative and project coordination tasks to ensure program continuity and audit readiness.
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in an accredited law school, in good academic standing
Willingness to learnabout privacy and data protection, regulatory requirements, and methodologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex topics into clear, concise outputs.
Detail-oriented with strong organizationaland analyticalskills.
Proficient with office productivity tools and collaboration platforms; ability to learn new systems quickly.
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Comfort with ambiguity and evolving regulatory landscapesin ordertosolve operational challenges and improve processes whilemaintainingcompliance obligations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position ranges from $20/hour up to $24/hour. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
