About the Role
Are you passionate about building relationships with high-net-worth clients and delivering exceptional financial solutions? As a Private Banking Officer, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of affluent clients, including attorneys, CPAs, physicians, and entrepreneurs. You’ll drive business growth by developing new loans and deposit relationships, cross-selling bank products, and providing unparalleled client service. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong lending expertise, relationship management skills, and a commitment to excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Build Relationships: Manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth clients by developing new relationships and deepening existing ones.
- Drive Results: Meet or exceed individual sales and retention goals by expanding loans, deposits, and cross-selling bank products like Treasury Management Services.
- Deliver Solutions: Structure, negotiate, and close complex loan transactions while ensuring a deposit component is included in every new relationship.
- Provide Exceptional Service: Respond promptly to client requests, delivering efficient and personalized service to meet their financial needs.
- Collaborate: Partner with internal teams (Risk Officers, Treasury Management, Client Services) to deliver a seamless, full-service client experience.
- Manage Risk: Review and underwrite loan requests, monitor portfolio quality, and proactively address potential issues to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
- Engage in the Community: Represent the bank at social functions, business development events, and through association memberships to grow the Private Client Group clientele.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 8–10 years of lending experience, with a proven track record of developing new loans and deposit business. Formal credit training preferred.
- Skills: Strong relationship management, sales, and marketing skills. Ability to structure and negotiate complex loan transactions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required. Master’s Degree, preferred.
- Client Focus: Commitment to delivering the highest level of client service with prompt and efficient responses to client needs.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial products, credit policies, and the private banking market.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience, may be considered.
