About the Role

The Injection Engineer is responsible for the setup, optimization, and maintenance of plastic injection molding processes to ensure stable production, high product quality, and equipment efficiency. This role supports new project implementation, continuous improvement, and compliance with customer and manufacturing standards.

What You Will Do

  • Lead setup, trial, and qualification of injection molding machines and processes for new products (NPI).
  • Optimize molding parameters to achieve stable production, minimize defects, and improve yield.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, and drive root cause analysis with corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with tooling, quality, and production teams to ensure process capability and product quality.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities for injection machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation of process parameters, work instructions, and technical reports.
  • Participate in equipment commissioning, FAT/SAT, and process validation activities.
  • Monitor and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and cycle time performance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., IATF, customer requirements) and safety regulations

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanism/Automation/Industrial/Polymer or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding process.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, and materials.
  • Experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and quality improvement.
  • Familiar with automatic or semi-automatic manufacturing process in automotive industry environment is preferred.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to perform structured root cause analysis (e.g., 8D).
  • Basic knowledge of automation systems and MES integration is an advantage.
  • Good English communication.
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
