Process Engineer

Job Summary

Tetra Pak is looking for a new Process Engineer to join the team in Monza, Italy. As a member of the Processing Engineering team, you will take part in full-cycle development projects for the food industry – starting from initial concept and requirements gathering through to final commissioning and handover to the customer. The role involves close collaboration with a variety of departments, including Automation, Supplier Management, and Finance which will give a great exposure to different areas of the business and the chance to build strong cross-functional relationships.

This is a permanent position based in Monza. Estimated travelling will be up to 40% of your time in Italy and EU.

What you will do

  • Design food processing solutions for dairy, cheese and other food production plants.
  • Selection and sizing of components and materials in line with the right food safety level required by the type of product to produce milk, juice, tomato, vegetable drinks etc.
  • Design process solution from the initiation phase until final delivery.
  • Work in a project team together with other members to cover all parts involved in the final solution: electrical, mechanical, automation and functional engineering.
  • Site supervision and commissioning support on site with our customers to ensure the correct delivery of our projects.
  • Work closely with our suppliers and other internal stakeholders (Quality, Supply Management, Technical Service, etc.)
  • Work in a pre-project team with the aim of developing solutions for our customers including sales support and budgeting.

We believe you have

  • University or Polytechnic degree in Product Technology/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of process engineering.
  • Food industry experience will be preferred. Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Oil & Gas sectors will be considered an advantage.
  • Good MS Office skills.

  • Fluency in Italian and English is required.
  • Availability to travel up to 40% of the working time in Italy and EU.
