Process Lead
Job Description:
Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Process Lead.
This a position will be based in Jurong Island, Singapore.
As a Process Lead, you will:
• Accountable for the safe, disciplined, and stable operation of the process plant during the assigned shift in accordance with site procedures.
• Specific responsibilities include:
o Lead the plant process and utilities unit safely and efficiently to manufacture quality products in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.
o Intervenes promptly when unsafe or non‑compliant behavior is observed and takes appropriate corrective actions.
o Execute production plans to meet product schedule requirements.
o Makes timely operational decisions within established procedures and escalation protocols.
o Acts as an authorized Safe Work Permit approver during the shift ensuring permit requirements are met before work commences.
o Acts as a role model for safe, disciplined operations and professional conduct.
o Identifies and addresses routine operational problems during the shift and provides coaching and guidance to operators, escalating higher‑risk issues as required.
o Ensures routine preventive operational tasks are completed as scheduled and to required standards.
o Lead plant shutdown and start-up activities safely to meet production schedules.
o Ensures process lines and systems are properly prepared, cleaned, and isolated in accordance with approved LOTO and handover procedures before maintenance activities.
o Leads on‑shift emergency response (ERT) activities as SIC until relieved, in accordance with site emergency response plans.
o Proactively identifies opportunities for operational, safety, or reliability improvements and raises them to site management through appropriate channels.
o Works with the site Technical Team as required during operational root cause investigations.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
• Min. Technical education in chemical processing.
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in the chemical manufacturing environment.
• Preferred experience in supervising operators in a chemical manufacturing environment with shift‑based operations.
• Working knowledge of both process trains, or demonstrated ability and willingness to develop competence across both trains within a defined time period.
