Procurement Advisor

Te tūnga | The role

We have a full-time permanent opportunity for a Procurement Advisor to join our PHF Science finance team. This role is part of a small and friendly team based out of our Kenepuru Science Centre and your role would be to provide advice on specific procurement activities, in line with Government procurement rules.

This role involves managing the contract renewal process and providing specialist advice to support business units in conducting cost effective and compliant procurement activities.

You will also play a key role in streamlining procurement processes and building procurement capability internally to enable a smooth and enabled procurement experience across the business.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a procurement advisory and contract management position

  • Sound experience and understanding of policies and processes relating to Government Procurement rules

  • An understanding of procurement processes within accounting computer systems, Workday experience preferable.

  • Passionate about broader outcomes, sustainability, social corporate responsibility and honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi to drive meaningful positive change.

In addition, it is equally important to us that you are customer focussed, have great communication skills and are adaptable in your approach. You will be a team player, someone who builds relationships easily and enjoys collaborating and educating users on processes.
