Procurement Analyst - Consumer Health

Basic Requirements:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Procurement, Supply chain, or Sourcing analytics, preferably in pharmaceutical, OTC, or FMCG environment
  • Cost analysis skills - ability to build cost models, conduct cost breakdowns and benchmarking for raw materials, packaging, and manufacturing services
  • Spend analytics and reporting using advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data modelling, scenario analysis)
  • Contract administration support - tracking milestones, amendments, renewals
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, particularly in financial outputs
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) - essential for daily interaction with European stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and present data clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with European timezone overlap

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience supporting sourcing activities including RFQs, price benchmarking, and tender evaluations
  • Experience with COGS simulations and purchase price variance (PPV) analysis
  • Market research and benchmarking capability - research on materials, supplier pricing, and cost drivers
  • Familiarity with SAP environment (understanding of procurement workflows, vendor master data, PO processes)
  • Familiarity with Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of cGMP / regulated manufacturing environment

Reporting to the Consumer Health Procurement Lead (based in Switzerland), this role provides dedicated analytical and operational support to the Procurement function for the Consumer Health business unit. Support cost analysis, market intelligence, spend reporting, supplier data management, and financial modelling (COGS, PPV) to enable effective supplier negotiations and procurement decision-making across the CDMO and Indirect supplier network. Contribute to the delivery of the Fuel for Growth (F4G) savings program and help bring Indirect spend under central procurement governance.

Education: Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration degree or equivalent

Areas of responsibility:

  • Prepare and maintain COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) simulations and cost models for CMO-manufactured products. Deliver monthly PPV (Purchase Price Variance) analysis and cost justifications for Finance, replacing ad-hoc requests with structured, reliable outputs on a regular cadence.
  • Develop and maintain procurement spend dashboards and savings tracking reports using Power BI, Excel, and SAP data. Provide visibility on direct and indirect spend, calculate savings for Finance submission, and monitor savings program progress.
  • Prepare RFQ documentation, assist with pricing governance, supplier performance tracking, and compliance monitoring
  • Conduct market research and cost benchmarking on raw materials, packaging components, and CDMO service costs. Monitor market indices and cost drivers to support negotiation strategies.
  • Maintain supplier master data in SAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness of vendor records, payment terms, and pricing. Support SOX compliance to Procurement processes, including pricing updates and invoice discrepancies.
  • Assist with contract administration including tracking contract milestones, amendments, renewals. Support the Procurement Lead in preparation of commercial agreements with CMOs and suppliers.
  • Support annual CMO price review preparation by conducting data analysis and benchmarking.
  • Support sourcing activities related to new product introductions and supply chain initiatives, including supplier assessments, cost estimates, and go/no-go decision support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Project Management, R&D, Quality, and Finance to support operational procurement requirements. Assist with preparation of regular supplier reviews in collaboration with the Supply Relationship Director.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiency.
