Why this role matters

As a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient procurement and delivery of equipment and services that support Release’s renewable energy projects across Africa. By coordinating procurement activities, managing supplier engagements, supporting logistics planning, and ensuring compliance with procurement processes, you will help enable successful project execution. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the deployment of clean energy solutions while working in a dynamic international environment with exposure to multiple markets and stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will take ownership of procurement coordination and logistics support activities across the business, including:

  • Coordinate procurement and logistics activities in line with established operating systems, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare purchase orders and support the procurement of project assets, equipment, and spare parts
  • Assist with supplier evaluations, bid assessments, contract preparation, and service agreements
  • Monitor logistics risks and communicate potential impacts to project stakeholders
  • Support local content and economic development commitments through procurement activities
  • Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and records within the document management system
  • Assist with procurement audits and support compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Facilitate logistics planning activities, including port visits, transport assessments, and supplier coordination

What you’ll bring

Experience and qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain coordination within infrastructure, energy, mining, or related industries
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) – non-negotiable
  • SAPICS qualification or certification – non-negotiable
  • Proven experience supporting procurement and logistics activities across African markets – non-negotiable
  • Previous experience in contract administration or contract management, with strong knowledge of procurement processes and compliance requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong reporting and analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with the ability to work across multiple countries and cultures
