Procurement Engineer

Job Responsibilities

· Support supplier sourcing activities, including identifying and evaluating suppliers for fabrication, integration, and contract manufacturing services in alignment with business needs.

· Assist in supplier qualification and development to ensure reliable supply and meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

· Participate in cost analysis and negotiation with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing for materials and services.

· Support the preparation and execution of commercial agreements and purchase terms with suppliers.

· Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to define specifications, ensure compliance with quality standards, and support supplier quality improvement initiatives.

· Contribute to cost-saving and cost-reduction initiatives, including value engineering and continuous improvement activities.

· Support implementation of operational excellence initiatives such as GEMBA, Kaizen, and VAVE programs.

· Maintain accurate procurement data and support planning activities using systems such as SAP and MRP.

· Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Job Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within manufacturing environments (ODM/OEM/CM) preferred

· Diploma holders with at least 3 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

· Basic knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost analysis.

· Familiarity with ERP is an advantage.

· Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills

· A proactive team player with willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
