Job Summary
Manages supplier relationships and ensures the timely procurement of quality materials. Collaborates with engineering teams to align procurement strategies with project requirements. Analyzes market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Implements procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing of materials.
• Monitors supplier performance and addresses any issues or delays in the supply chain.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
• Ensured supplier related data is maintained and up to date.
• Participate in concept savings ideation and ensures implementation.
• Drive supplier & part selection in I2M.
• Support phase-in/phase-out planning.
• Manage Customization & Engineering to Order Projects.
• Ensure procurement related risks are controlled and mitigated for the locally used suppliers / projects.
• Support and executes the implementation of commodity strategies, DFX and Kaizen cost reduction plans.
• Support the negotiation teams with conceptual and fact-based information and opportunities to drive significant structural cost reduction improvement.
• Second line escalation support for supply.
• Drive PE excellence (DFX, VA, SQ).
• Meet TCO and procurement savings cost targets during life cycle phase.
• Develop cost models and TCO cost roadmaps & linkage to margin management.
• Report Procurement KPI's on factory level.
• Support the Supplier Quality team in supplier component release process as part of the Advanced Quality Plan (AQP), including compliance and sustainability aspects.
Critical Experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering, Business Administration in Operations or a related field.
• Minimum of 10~15 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on supplier management and cost reduction strategies.
• Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent, is preferred.
