Role description\:
Reporting to the Ship Repair Delivery Supply Chain Manager, to work with the wider supply chain team, Operations and Engineering teams to provide a resource to plan, select, negotiate, purchase, expedite and make available requirements to meet stringent project cost, quality and timescales relating to the Ship Repair Delivery business stream.To contribute to the development of the Warship Support Supply Chain function to harness opportunities for operations delivery, the function and BAE wide strategic initiatives. To provide governance for all processes associated with the supply of materials. To manage a team of procurement professionals..
Core Duties\:
- Delivery of all materials/services for Ship Repair in line with business KPIs and correct quality standards, with key focus on supplier performance and relationship management, working closely with the Supply Chain Platform Managers
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholder to help lead Continuous improvement initiatives
- To identify potential risks and issues and work with the wider team to find resolutions.
- Develop a communications structure to manage Supply Chain status, performance, and critical issues management within a project and functional management structure.
- Provide inputs to support the achievements of the financial objectives for orders, sales, margin and cash, contributing to the overall business Integrated Business Plan for current and future periods as required
Essential skills\:
- Procurement, process and performance knowledge to develop the function using enabling technologies to exceed or meet the business objectives
- Commercial and contractual acumen
- Line Management experience
- MCIPS advantageous
