Procurement Manager (OEM / Aerospace | EAST)

Our client, a reputable global engineering and aerospace manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing strategies and supplier management across regional operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the procurement team across Singapore and Malaysia operations, providing guidance, coaching and escalation support.

  • Drive procurement KPIs including on-time delivery, delinquency management, purchase price variance (PPV) and supply performance.

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives including supplier selection, consolidation and supplier development programs.

  • Manage regional or global commodity sourcing activities, ensuring alignment with global supply chain strategies and cost reduction targets.

  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure performance across cost, quality, delivery and risk management.

  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and operational excellence.

  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, services and supplies required to support manufacturing operations.

  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities and cost drivers to support sourcing strategies and negotiations.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Operations teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Prepare and review sourcing proposals and bid packages while mentoring procurement team members in supplier engagement and negotiations.

Requirements

  • 5 – 10 years of supply chain or procurement experience within OEM manufacturing, engineer-to-order environments, or aerospace industries.

  • Proven leadership experience managing procurement or sourcing teams.

  • Strong knowledge of materials management, production flows, and inventory planning processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost optimization, supplier performance and operational efficiency.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to operate in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline.

  • APICS / ISM / Supply Chain certification will be an advantage.
