The Procurement Officer is responsible for supporting the end\-to\-end procurement process for construction materials, equipment, services, and operational requirements for the project. The role ensures timely sourcing, competitive pricing, proper documentation, vendor coordination, and efficient procurement administration while maintaining compliance with company policies, quality standards, and project timelines.

2.\tMarket Research and Analysis

\u2022\tConduct regular market surveys and price analysis for construction materials, equipment, and services.

\u2022\tMonitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, supplier performance, and material availability.

\u2022\tProvide market intelligence reports and recommendations to management.

\u2022\tAnalyze procurement data to identify cost\-saving opportunities and procurement efficiencies.

3.\tSupplier and Vendor Relationship Management

\u2022\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

\u2022\tCoordinate supplier communications regarding quotations, deliveries, clarifications, and documentation.

\u2022\tSupport vendor performance evaluation and supplier assessment processes.

4.\tVendor Database and Approved Supplier List Management

5.\tProcurement Documentation and Compliance

\u2022\tPrepare and maintain procurement documentation including: Request for Quotations (RFQs), Comparative analysis sheets, Purchase Orders (POs), Vendor evaluation records, Delivery and receiving documentation.

\u2022\tEnsure all procurement activities comply with company procurement policies and approval procedures.
<\/div>
\u2022\tMaintain organized and audit\-ready procurement files and records.
<\/div>

6.\tCoordination and Follow\-Up

\u2022\tFollow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services

\u2022\tCoordinate with: Site teams, Store, Logistics and Finance departments to ensure smooth procurement operations.

\u2022\tResolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and procurement\-related challenges promptly.

\u2022\tPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement status reports.

\u2022\tSupport spend analysis and procurement performance reporting.

8.\tSoftware and Systems Utilization

Requirements<\/h3>
\u2022\tBachelor\u2019s Degree / HND in: Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
<\/div>
\u2022\tProfessional certifications such as: CIPS, CIPSMN, Supply Chain certifications are an advantage.
<\/div>
\u2022\tMinimum 4\u20137 years of relevant procurement experience in construction procurement for candidates with the required academic qualifications.
<\/div>
\u2022\tCandidates without the stated academic qualifications must possess a minimum of 6\u20138 years of proven experience in construction procurement.
<\/div>
\u2022\tStrong procurement negotiation and sourcing skills.
<\/div>
\u2022\tGood understanding of procurement processes and documentation.

\u2022\tStrong market analysis and supplier evaluation capability.
