Job Description\:
You’ll be managing end‑to‑end procurement activity, from contract placement and supplier engagement to market analysis. You’ll keep business systems updated to maintain reliable data for stakeholders. You’ll develop key relationships, collaborate across functions, and provide expert procurement support. You’ll also drive continuous improvement and independently deliver assigned projects from planning through completion. This environment moves fast. You’ll need to be adaptable, open to change and ready to respond when priorities shift.
Core duties\:
- Planning, controlling and delivering assigned projects independently
- Developing, maintaining and managing key relationships both internally and externally. promoting effective cross functional collaboration and delivering procurement support and guidance to other functions as required
- Contribute knowledge and experience to support Continuous Improvement and Learning from Experience activity across the Supply Chain function
- Ensuring all business systems, document management systems and data sources are kept up to date to provide a single point of truth for stakeholders
Essential Skills\:
- Broad and deep professional knowledge / understanding of Procurement principles, techniques and practices including an understanding of the impact and implications of decisions made
- Possession of a relevant professional qualification such as CIPS or equivalent experience gained in a comparable role
- Sound knowledge of how Procurement interfaces with the rest of the business
- The ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships while applying project management principles to effectively understand and translate customer requirements into successful delivery
- Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft packages
The Submarines Support Service Team\:
