Job Description\:
You’ll lead end‑to‑end procurement activity for the Dreadnought programme, delivering to cost, quality and schedule commitments while engaging confidently with senior leaders and collaborating closely with MOD stakeholders. Your role will involve sourcing, negotiating and placing major international contracts, securing significant commercial value aligned to programme priorities. You’ll drive supplier performance across delivery, quality and cost, anticipate and mitigate risks, and strengthen partnerships throughout the UK, Europe and North America. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement, support team development and provide clear, timely progress updates, with opportunities to travel and work directly with global suppliers.
Core duties\:
- You will be responsible of the overall contract management, negotiating and placing contracts, including terms, conditions and risk mitigation
- You will bring experience conducting procurement activities, consistently delivering against cost, quality and schedule targets
- You’ll manage suppliers and major contracts within highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance and robust performance outcomes
- You'll utilise systems such as SAP to support effective procurement and contract management processes
- You bring commercial awareness & understanding alongside negotiating and overseeing highly detailed agreements
- You will leverage general experience in procurement or contract management to deliver value and drive programme success
Essential Skills\:
- Proven experience within Supply Chain and Procurement
- CIPS or equivalent professional capability, built through experience in highly regulated environment
- Negotiation skills, ensuring optimal commercial and contractual results
