Produced Water Treatment Technology Specialist (IGF, NSF & Hydrocyclone)

Job Summary

  • Offer technical specialist knowledge for assigned discipline to regional P&L center projects and tenders
  • Offer technical specialist knowledge to technology development work according to defined priorities
  • Provide proactively input/recommendations for development of product line to APT Manager
  • Develop material to train regional engineers in discipline

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY

  • Have specialist knowledge on assigned discipline
  • Together with APT Manager develop products and solutions which are according to the local and international markets needs
  • Support BD in client meetings as required
  • Together with Tender make competitive commercial technical offers with technology which is fit for purpose and not putting unacceptable liability risk to NOV.
  • Provide time efficient and quality response to clients and P&L centers in commercial projects
  • Provide time efficient and quality response to technology development projects
  • Execute feasibility studies / conceptual design / process studies or input to these for assigned discipline.
  • Recognize problems and discrepancies in work process and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of competitor technology or execution approach for assigned technology
  • Strong knowledge on industry standards for assigned discipline

  • Provide leadership, oversee, coordinate and review the work of indirect subordinates to deliver winning tenders
  • Working with the tender team the application engineers’ devise solutions using experience and/or precedent to create unique selling propositions
  • Ensure the tender is cost focused, and developed in the most attractive manner for client
  • Manage communication towards client, participate in tender negotiations based on approved mandate
  • After completed tender ensure that lessons learned are captured, and shared with the Tender Group When won: Ensure a proper hand over to execution team in accordance with Company procedures

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:

  • Chemical Engineering – Masters Degree
  • 10 years + in Chemical Engineering / Process Engineering
  • Autonomy
  • Experience in Separation AND Produced Water Projects for Middle East.
  • Process Simulation tools such as HYSYS, UNSIM, Flaresim
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • HAZOP and SIL studies participation and close outs.
  • Deep knowledge of technology
  • Professional writing skills in English

Desirable:

  • Languages - Multilingual (English and Arabic, Spanish, Mandarin, French, Russian, Portuguese, etc)
  • Deep knowledge of commercial aspects, market and competitors
