Product Developer

This is a remote position.<\/p>

We are looking for a <\/span>Product Developer<\/span> to help build a new US puppy brand in our portfolio. This is a habit\-building brand for first\-time puppy parents, designed around puppy development, enrichment, routines and the bond between puppies and their owners.<\/span>
<\/p>

This is a hands\-on role for someone who can take product ideas from early concept through to supplier sourcing, sampling, testing, production and launch.<\/span>

The Role<\/span><\/span>
<\/h2>

Own product development end\-to\-end, from concept to mass production, for our puppy habit\-building range. You will work closely with the Senior Brand Manager, external pet behaviour specialists, suppliers and creative partners to turn behavioural insight into commercially viable, safe and well\-executed products.<\/span>

  • Build the product pipeline with the Senior Brand Manager and pet behaviour specialists.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Research the market, competitors and first\-time puppy parents needs to identify strong product opportunities.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Translate product ideas into clear, factory\-ready specifications, including materials, dimensions, construction, testing, packaging and labelling.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Source, evaluate and select suppliers based on capability, quality, cost, MOQ and lead time.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Manage RFQs, samples, supplier feedback, revisions and production handover.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Review samples against product specs, user feedback, specialist input and safety requirements.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Own product QA and compliance, with a focus on pet product safety, durability and suitability for puppies.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Manage timelines, stakeholders and launch readiness to keep projects moving on schedule.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Brief marketing and creative partners so packaging, instructions and product claims are accurate, clear and on brand.<\/span>

  • Review product launches and use learnings to improve future products.<\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>

    What we\u2019re looking for<\/span><\/span>
    <\/h2>\n
      \n
    • 4\u20136+ years\u2019 experience in product development, ideally across consumer products.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Experience taking products from concept through to sourcing, sampling, QA and mass production.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Experience creating product specs, tech packs, RFQs or production\-ready briefs.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Experience in pet products, toys, chews, accessories, juvenile products or care\-led categories is a plus.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple projects at the same time.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Proactive, self\-directed and able to work with limited supervision.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Strong communication skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Good understanding of Western consumers, especially the US market.<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>\n

    • Experience working with suppliers in China or other Asian markets.<\/span>
