Product Enablement Manager
Company Description
Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.
Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.
Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.
Job Description
As a Product Enablement Manager, you will drive adoption, business readiness, and activation of Nine’s Consumer Platform capabilities across your portfolio, helping business teams confidently embed new tools, workflows, and ways of working into daily operations.
We are currently hiring 2 x hands-on enablement operators for 12-month contracts to support our portfolios - one dedicated to Publishing and the other to Broadcast & Streaming.
In this role, you will thrive at the intersection of platform capability, commercial outcomes, and people-led change. Comfortable operating in ambiguity, you build structure where it does not yet exist, and bring diverse teams on the journey.
While our core Platform Product teams focus on delivery, your mission is to ensure platform capability lands in the business - understood, adopted and embedded into daily work.. You will drive the practical, on-the-ground implementation - supporting the operational transition from legacy systems, uplifting internal capability, and embedding new workflows. By spending time directly with marketing, finance, and operational teams, you will deeply understand their day-to-day realities and bridge insights back to the product team to ensure what gets built can land well.
What you’ll do:
Connect Platform & Martech Capabilities to Business Workflows: Partner with business teams to understand their goals, surface needs, and showcase platform potential. Translate these insights into clear, actionable inputs for the Product team to help shape what is built.
Drive Capability Uplift & Business Readiness: Assess needs across people, process, data, and tech. Deliver tailored training and co-design sessions to unlock platform potential and future CX ambitions, adjusting your approach to meet each team's maturity level.
Execute Portfolio-Specific Migrations: Support the technical and operational transition of legacy systems and data - including user accounts, marketing lists, and subscriber bases - into the unified Nine platform, keeping stakeholders informed and confident throughout.
Produce Enablement Artefacts: Create portfolio-specific playbooks, blueprints, and training guides (e.g., Paywall logic for Publishing or Identity flows for Streaming). Partner with Service Design to turn customer journey maps and friction points into practical, adoptable tools.
Ensure portfolio launch quality: Oversee validation and rollout readiness of new features, ensuring they meet the operational needs and quality standards of your portfolio before transitioning to BAU.
Operationalise CX tools: Support the portfolio-specific rollout of Zendesk automations, and service workflows, ensuring support teams are equipped to handle customer enquiries and that customer feedback can be surfaced back into platform and product conversations.
Track adoption: Define and monitor portfolio-level adoption signals, and implementation friction. Use insights to target enablement activity and demonstrate progress.
Support technical operations: Work closely with the App Support and Product teams during hyper-care periods to monitor system health and resolve migration-related issues.
Contribute to cross-portfolio alignment: Work with the Head of Product Enablement to share learnings, identify friction across handoffs and support more connected ways of working across Nine.
What You’ll Bring:
You might come from a change management, digital transformation, marketing transformation, consulting, or product operations background—or you might be a marketer or growth leader who has pivoted toward platform thinking and capability building. Either way, you understand how business teams think and operate, and you know how to bring them on a journey.
Digital Delivery & Adoption: Experience implementing digital tools, uplifting capabilities, and driving behavioral change within business teams.
Platform Translation: Skilled at translating commercial and operational needs into clear, actionable inputs for product and technical teams.
Migration Experience: Experience supporting data, system, or platform migrations and managing the operational change impacts.
Maturity-Based Thinking: Ability to assess a team’s current digital maturity and design tailored adoption pathways that meet them where they are.
Commercial & Analytical Acumen: A data-driven mindset to track adoption and connect platform capabilities to business value, such as growth, retention, conversion, customer experience or operational efficiency.
Industry & Tech Exposure (Bonus): Background in media (Publishing/Streaming) or exposure to MarTech, CRM, and customer data environments is highly regarded.
