The primary purpose is to provide functional expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) to support and optimize Commercial Order Management (COM) processes across the Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle. The Associate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners to ensure seamless integration of SAP SD with other ERP modules and downstream systems. Key accountabilities include –

  • Managing and supporting end-to-end SAP SD configuration including sales order types, pricing procedures, billing, delivery, and shipping processes.
  • Providing functional support to resolve Order-to-Cash (OTC) incidents, including root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Configuring and customizing SAP SD solutions to meet specific commercial business needs, including supporting process design and go-live activities.
  • Creating and maintaining functional documentation including business process design documents, functional specifications, and user guides.
  • Conducting testing activities including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure reliability and performance of OTC solutions.
  • S/4HANA OTC: Familiarity with S/4HANA-specific OTC Business Partner (BP) model and SAP Fiori apps.

Configure, maintain, and continuously improve SAP SD processes covering Order-to-Cash (OTC) including sales order management, pricing, billing, shipping, and inter-company flows.

Provide functional support for incident resolution, root cause analysis, and business process troubleshooting across the Commercial Order Management landscape.

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, document functional specifications, and deliver end-to-end testing (unit, SIT, UAT).

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adherence to SAP best practices, and maintain functional documentation including configuration guides and process flow documentation, Utilize AI and Automation skills for process improvements.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain to gather requirements, understand OTC processes, and ensure SAP SD solutions align with organizational goals.
  • Work with implementation partners responsible for deploying, configuring, or maintaining integrated SAP solutions within the client’s IT landscape.
  • Coordinate with technical developers, Basis team, and other functional ERP teams (MM, FI/CO, WM/EWM) to implement solutions, share knowledge, and address cross-module challenges.
  • Utilize AI and Automation skills to deliver value and drive improvements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science

Experience:

  • 0 - 2 years of hands-on SAP SD functional experience with demonstrated expertise in Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments preferred; ECC experience considered with willingness to upskill. Ability to quickly learn existing business processes and combine knowledge from multiple disciplines (e.g., SAP capability, standard industry best practice) to produce an optimal solution for business.
  • Leverage latest AI toolset and automation capabilities to work on business problems in the Commercial Order Management area.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • SAP SD Configuration: Expertise in sales order types, item categories, schedule line categories, pricing (condition technique), output determination, billing types, and delivery processing. S/4HANA OTC: Familiarity with S/4HANA-specific OTC Business Partner (BP) model and SAP Fiori apps. Integration Knowledge: Understanding of SAP SD integration with MM, FI/CO, and WM/EWM.
  • Testing & Documentation: Proficiency in writing functional specifications, test scripts, and process flow documentation. Excellent communication, customer management, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Enterprise mindset to ensure data integrity, compliance, and security.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Regular working hours are from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST (ICC Second Shift) to support EST business hours. Increased overlap with the EST time zone may be required during production go-live activities and critical support windows.
