Product Lead

Role Purpose

The Product Owner – Source-to-Pay (Public Sector) is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering product capabilities that enable Unit4 customers to comply with complex public sector procurement regulations across multiple countries. The role treats regulation and compliance as core platform capabilities, ensuring scalable, build-once solutions with country-specific overlays where required. The Product Owner works closely with Product Leads, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to translate regulatory and market needs into high-quality product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and refine the product backlog for public sector Source-to-Pay capabilities, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy and delivery priorities.
  • Translate public sector regulations and procurement practices into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Security, and UX to define compliant, scalable, and accessible solutions.
  • Ensure product capabilities support audited, legally defensible end-to-end procurement processes.
  • Support multi-country roadmap planning, balancing harmonized platform capabilities with country-specific needs.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure readiness and delivery of quality.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement regulations at EU and national level, with initial focus on Nordics and the Netherlands.
  • Hands-on experience with EU eForms and regulated publication requirements, treating compliance as a first-class product capability.
  • In-depth knowledge of supplier qualification processes, including ESPD and country-specific variations.
  • Solid understanding of MEAT-based evaluation models, including criteria definition, weighting, scoring mechanisms, and justification requirements.
  • Proven ability to define and document audit trails and procurement dossiers to meet legal and audit standards.
  • Awareness of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA and experience incorporating non-functional compliance requirements.
  • Understanding public sector security and hosting constraints, including MFA, data residency, and local hosting expectations.
  • Experience working with multi-country, phased product roadmaps using build-once / country-overlay approaches.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across legal, compliance, engineering, and business teams.
  • Ability to run research and discovery activities and translate regulation into product requirements.

Salary range: 791,655 - 828,689 DKK
