Product Manufacturing Manager (f/m/div.)

As a Product Manufacturing Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the industrialization strategy across the full product lifecycle. You will act as the bridge between manufacturing engineering and business units, ensuring cost-efficient, scalable, and high-quality production solutions.

You will drive value creation by optimizing manufacturing strategies, supporting business growth, and ensuring best-in-class cost and performance.

Your contribution to something big:

  • Define and drive industrialization strategies in close collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Lead make-or-buy decisions and evaluate cost-effective sourcing options
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to identify optimal manufacturing solutions (cost, quality, timing)
  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into manufacturing and economic concepts
  • Identify risks early and define mitigation strategies
  • Act as a key interface for manufacturing-related customer topics
  • Support industrial ramp-ups and ensure smooth handover to project teams
  • Monitor and track cost optimization initiatives (e.g., value analysis)
  • Ensure alignment between manufacturing strategy and plant allocation across the product lifecycle
  • Support series production through volume planning and escalation handling
  • Contribute to end-of-series strategies considering production and supplier impacts

What distinguishes you:

1. Education

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Technology, or similar
  • Alternatively, equivalent professional experience

2. Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrialization, production planning, or related areas
  • Background in project management, cost engineering, or product development is a plus
  • Ideally, experience in an international or automotive environment

3. Know-how

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrialization strategies
  • Knowledge of cost optimization, benchmarking, and value analysis
  • Ability to balance technical and business perspectives

4. Languages

  • Fluency in English
  • Additional languages (e.g., German, Portuguese, Spanish, or Chinese) are a plus

5. Working Style and Methods

  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional and international teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
