Product Owner

The Product Owner is responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog to align with strategic goals, customer needs, and AI-enabled product opportunities. This role partners closely with Product Managers to translate product strategy into execution and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact healthcare SaaS solutions that enhance user experience, compliance, and intelligent workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Backlog Management

  • Define and maintain the product backlog with clear priorities

  • Partner with Product Managers to translate product strategy into actionable user stories and prioritized backlog items

  • Align backlog with customer value, compliance needs, and opportunities to embed technology/AI driven capabilities where they improve outcomes and efficiency

Agile Execution & Iterative Development

  • Drive agile ceremonies and sprint planning

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams for delivery

  • Ensure continuous improvement through feedback loops

  • Partner with development, operations and data teams to shape all features, validate outcomes, and iterate based on user and business impact

Healthcare Domain Expertise

  • Understand healthcare workflows and compliance standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR)

  • Design for interoperability and regulatory alignment

  • Prioritize features that improve clinical and operational outcomes

  • Understand the application of AI in healthcare workflows, including documentation support, decision support, and automation, while considering accuracy, safety, and regulatory implications

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Partner closely with Product Managers to communicate product vision, roadmap priorities, and execution tradeoffs across teams

  • Manage expectations and feedback from internal and external stakeholders

  • Facilitate alignment between product, engineering, and clinical teams

  • Maintain tight alignment with cross functional team on goals, release priorities, customer feedback, and evolving business needs

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Conduct market and user research to inform product decisions

  • Use analytics tools to measure feature impact and guide prioritization

  • Apply insights to optimize product performance and user experience

  • Leverage product, customer, and operational data to identify, prioritize, and measure use cases that improve workflow efficiency, quality, and user outcomes

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience Guidelines

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in a SaaS environment

  • Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled product capabilities, prompt-driven workflows, and responsible AI considerations such as accuracy, transparency, bias, privacy, and human oversight

  • Experience in healthcare SaaS is highly preferred; experience supporting AI-enabled or data-intensive products is a plus

  • Travel up to 30%

  • Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven decision making

  • Understanding of HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards
