Job Title: Production Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Job Summary

The Production Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure efficient operations, timely delivery, and optimal resource utilization. This role acts as a liaison between production, procurement, warehouse, and management to support smooth manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
  • Coordinate with production supervisors to align manpower and machine capacity
  • Adjust schedules based on changes in demand, material availability, or operational constraints

2. Work Order Management

  • Issue and track production work orders
  • Ensure all work orders are completed within planned timelines
  • Monitor job progress and highlight delays or bottlenecks

3. Material Coordination

  • Liaise with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials
  • Monitor raw material usage and report shortages
  • Coordinate with store/warehouse for stock allocation and replenishment

4. Production Monitoring

  • Track daily production output versus plan
  • Prepare production reports and performance metrics
  • Identify inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and logs
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production summaries
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and audit requirements

6. Quality & Compliance Support

  • Coordinate with QC/QA department to ensure product quality standards
  • Ensure production activities comply with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Support audits and inspections when required

7. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as a communication bridge between:Production teamSales/Planning departmentProcurement and logistics
  • Escalate issues affecting production schedules or delivery timelines

8. Continuous Improvement

  • Support lean manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, and costs

Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in:Engineering / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain / Operations Management

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience in production planning or coordination preferred

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and coordination abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel / ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of production processes and workflows
