PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Role Responsibilities

1. Production & Process Support

· Support day-to-day production operations to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing.

· Analyse production processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, yield, and throughput.

· Identify process gaps and support corrective and preventive actions.

2. Production Planning & Coordination

· Work closely with Production, Planning, and Engineering teams to meet production schedules and output targets.

· Support line balancing, manpower planning, and material readiness during shifts.

3. Quality Control & Improvement

· Monitor product quality and process parameters to ensure compliance with quality standards.

· Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

· Support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

· Troubleshoot equipment, process, and production issues to minimise downtime.

· Escalate critical issues appropriately and support recovery actions during production disruptions.

5. Equipment & Maintenance Support

· Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams on preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

· Support equipment qualification, setup, and improvement projects.

· Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.

6. Safety & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

· Promote a safe working environment and support EHS initiatives on the production floor.

7. Data Analysis & Reporting

· Collect and analyse production data (output, yield, downtime, defects).

· Prepare shift reports and support performance tracking and improvement activities.

8. Team Support & Training

· Work closely with operators and technicians to implement best practices.

· Support training and coaching on process discipline, quality, and safety requirements.

9. Inventory & Material Control

· Monitor raw material usage and WIP to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

· Support material flow and coordination with Warehouse and Planning teams.

Role Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or related discipline.

· 1–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (depending on seniority).

· Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows.

· Experience in shift-based operations is an advantage.

· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement concepts is preferred.

· Experience with ERP systems and basic data analysis tools.
