Production First Line Manager

Overview The role is responsible in leading and supervising production activities in efficient and effective way during day-to-day operation of production and ensure production team delivering consistent and good quality product as per customer requirement. Responsibilities Responsible for managing production site, safe environment, good 5S environment, labour discipline as per PepsiCo standard. Supervise production teams to carry out production as per process requirement and work instruction, keep track of quality status and production progress, handling unexpected situation, quality and on time delivery. Control/supervise implementation of GMP, SOP and Halal guarantee system Track key performance indicators that assigned in the area. Ensure continuous improvement culture is implemented on production floor and delivering continuous improvement idea from production floor to support the key performance indicator Review and approve procedures and document related per production activities Coordinating with the Engineering, QA / QC, PPIC for smooth processing Establish and improve training plan for the team and ensure team capabilities team in place as per expected requirement. Validate production status and escalate to production manager if there are any potential issues that impacting the product delivery Qualifications Min. bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related degree At least 5 years in Food Manufacturing Industry, snack industry will be preferred with at least 3 years’ experience as supervisor or team leader Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and collaboration skills. Strong sense of ownership and responsibility. Strong leadership capability and managing people, proficient in safety and quality culture, especially in food industry Production management and process control in FMCG/food manufacturing Knowledge and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOPs, and Halal Assurance System Quality management and product compliance monitoring Knowledge of 5S, EHS, and labor discipline standards Ability to track, analyze, and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma basics) Documentation and procedure management in production activities Cross-functional coordination (Engineering, QA/QC, PPIC) for smooth operations Training, coaching, and capability development of production teams Risk identification, escalation, and handling of unexpected production issues
