The Opportunity
This is a permanent role, reporting to the Vice President of Maintenance. The Production Manager is a leadership role responsible for the performance of a multi-aircraft AMO by bringing together regulatory excellence, people leadership, and operational discipline. This role is for a hands-on maintenance leader with deep technical credibility, strong CARs knowledge, and the drive to build a high-performing team that consistently delivers safe, high-quality maintenance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the current day’s work assignments via the team leads to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed or deferred in accordance with policy and regulation in a manner to meet upcoming flight schedule for each aircraft.
- Provide guidance to the team leads in prioritizing the work and make adjustments if required.
- Ensure the team has all the required parts and services needed to meet the day’s goals. Coordinate with the purchasing team as appropriate.
- Call in additional staffing and approve overtime when required to meet the above priority.
- Provide ad hoc administration support. This may be conducting research of past defects, research of OEM documentation, and/or working with the OEM to provide troubleshooting solutions or engineering support.
- Review the previous day’s timecards for all technical maintenance staff. Ensure hours billed are appropriate for the associated task. Provide coaching to staff where there is a concern, add notes to the card to detail issues that may require time adjustment (warranty) during the billing process.
- Review and refine the planner’s proposed work for the next 7 days. This will include a final confirmation parts, supplies and 3rd party services have been arranged.
- Monitor part orders and ensure adequate troubleshooting has been completed prior to placing order.
- Monitor the quality of the aircraft maintenance workmanship and compliance with the manufacturers' recommendations and/or industry standards; raise concerns to the DOM/PRM and make corrective actions as required.
- Track and approve the corrective actions for recurring defects to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Approve the AMEs' shift schedules/PTO requests and manage the vacation bidding process for hangar floor staff.
- Ensure maintenance personnel are competent regarding the maintenance methods to be employed in the performance of work
- Ensure the crew's PTO is used when workload permits.

Your Qualifications
- Valid TCCA M2 AME licence with 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience
- Endorsement on one or more of the aircraft types listed above
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and sound operational decision-making
- Detailed computer skills
- Strong regulatory knowledge
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to obtain/hold a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Valid passport and ability to travel worldwide as required
- Authorization to work in Canada
