Production & Materials Planner

About Us:
We are a dynamic SME in precision engineering and manufacturing, serving high-tech sectors such as Aerospace and other high-tech companies. With a flat hierarchy and a collaborative environment, we empower our team to take ownership, innovate, and develop multi-dimensional skills. As part of our digital transformation journey, we are implementing Madsoft Solutions ERP to optimize our workflows – and you could be a key driver of this change!

Your Role:

  • ERP Champion: Lead the setup, migration, and ongoing maintenance of our Madsoft ERP system (Inventory, Purchasing, and Production modules).
  • Material Demand Forecasting: Analyze customer orders & BOMs to generate accurate procurement forecasts, balancing optimal inventory with production needs.
  • Production Scheduling: Collaborate with the workshop supervisor to plan job queues, aligning machine capacity, material availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Process & Logistics Optimization: Track parts and WIP (Work-In-Progress), identify bottlenecks, and refine shop-floor processes.
  • Agile Problem-Solving: Work closely with procurement and production to quickly resolve urgent supplier or inventory issues.
  • Cost & Inventory Management: Maintain Excel logs for daily WIP, and design models that integrate ERP and HR data for precise cost reporting.
  • Audit Readiness: Lead the annual stock-take, ensuring clean, audit-ready inventory and cost records.

About You:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management (Quantitative/Operations track), Business Data Analytics, or Accountancy / Management Accounting
  • Experience: 2–4 years’ hands-on in production/materials planning, inventory control, or MRP in a precision engineering or technical manufacturing setting.
  • Industry Sector: Direct experience within a precision engineering or CNC machining manufacturing environment is highly preferred. You must understand multi-stage manufacturing workflows (e.g., machining, surface treatments, inspection) and multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Software Savvy: Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, array formulas). Prior ERP experience (Madsoft, Sage, SAP B1, Million, etc.) is a big plus!
  • Technical Foundations: Confident reading drawings, understanding BOMs, and applying safety stock formulas.
  • Costing Know-How: Solid grasp of manufacturing cost accounting (standard costing, labor absorption, and WIP valuation).
  • Mindset: Proactive, organized, and adaptable. Enjoys autonomy in a fast-moving SME with minimal bureaucracy.
  • Communication: Fluent English – able to liaise with regional suppliers and internal teams.
