Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily production, repair, testing, and assembly operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery requirements are achieved.
  • Manage and deploy production personnel effectively to meet operational schedules, throughput targets, and customer commitments.
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), production output, resource utilization, and workflow efficiency to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure repair, testing, assembly, and manufacturing activities are performed in accordance with approved work instructions, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
  • Drive operational performance by monitoring key metrics including productivity, cycle time, turnaround time, first-pass yield, and defect rates.
  • Investigate operational and process issues, coordinating with Engineering and Quality teams to minimise downtime and improve overall performance.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with workplace safety regulations, ESD controls, quality requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Customer teams to address operational challenges and support business objectives.
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to strengthen technical capabilities, operational discipline, and overall team performance.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates on production performance, manpower requirements, quality issues, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI), process changes, and operational readiness activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or NITEC in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3 years of supervisory experience in electronics manufacturing, technical repair operations, or mechanical assembly line environments.
  • Hands-on experience in electronic manufacturing, product repair, testing, troubleshooting, or mechanical assembly processes.
  • Proven experience leading production teams and coordinating daily manufacturing activities.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production control principles.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
