Production Supervisor

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational efficiency are achieved. The role involves supervising production personnel, coordinating workflow, monitoring equipment performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop production team members to achieve performance objectives.
  • Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment effectively to optimize productivity.
  • Monitor production output and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment problems, and process deviations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, planning, and warehouse departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate production goals, safety updates, and operational requirements.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to production personnel.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower production costs.
  • Ensure proper documentation of production records, quality checks, and operational data.
  • Support inventory control activities and material management processes.
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, or other applicable standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, technical drawings, and operating procedures.

Working Conditions
