Program Coordinator - Radiology

Overview

The Program Coordinator is responsible for all administrative functions necessary to support the administrative operations of the Department of Radiology, the Radiology Service Line, and the Department Chair/ Vice President of the Radiology Service Line. The Program Coordinator must provide high-level administrative support, coordination, program coordination, and financial oversight of multiple programs lead by the Chair. This role involves assisting the Chair in their daily activities, supporting programmatic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates executive operations, communications, schedules, meetings, correspondence, documentation, filing systems, and confidential information while serving as liaison to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinates travel logistics, accommodations, itineraries, and related administrative arrangements to support departmental and program activities.
  • Collaborates with administrative teams to coordinate departmental communication, operational support, and cross-functional coverage to ensure continuity of services.
  • Coordinates program administration by tracking timelines, milestones, deliverables, reports, files, databases, workflows, and process improvements to support Department of Radiology objectives.
  • Supports faculty searches, academic appointments, departmental initiatives, and program-related events by coordinating logistics, stakeholder engagement, and operational activities at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
  • Administers financial and grant-related activities by supporting budgeting, forecasting, invoice processing, financial reporting, compliance tracking, and grant management requirements.
  • Utilize technology, software applications, and evolving administrative practices to support operational efficiency, compliance, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains professional and operational effectiveness by staying current on policies, regulations, training, professional development, and additional assigned responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, including at least 2 years supporting an executive or comparable level position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with program coordination principles and practices is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of financial management and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
