WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Program Manager will serve as part of a two-person team supporting the Executive Director and the broader Effective District Framework Accelerator (EDFA) team by driving day-to-day execution across a portfolio of districts and workstreams. This role will support cohort implementation, program administration, and cross-organizational coordination to help districts execute a common, research-based model for turnaround and system-wide improvement. In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a primary support partner to a cohort of EDFA intervention and opt-in districts, ensuring alignment to the EDFA playbook, model, and implementation expectations.
  • Coordinate and track district progress across key milestones, including battle planning, launch readiness, implementation checkpoints, and ongoing execution priorities.
  • Support superintendents, conservators, and district leaders as they prepare for and engage in EDFA programming, professional development, communities of practice, and network sessions.
  • Manage execution across EDFA workstreams, including playbook updates, professional development, battle planning, launch supports, governance, and field support coordination.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, trackers, dashboards, and status updates to monitor progress across districts, partners, and workstreams.
  • Coordinate cross-district professional development and quarterly network convenings, including logistics, agendas, materials, communications, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and participant feedback.
  • Act as a connector across TEA internal teams, technical assistant providers, external partners, and district leadership teams to align inputs, deliverables, timelines, and follow-through.
  • Support cross-functional meetings by preparing materials, synthesizing information, tracking action items and decisions, and ensuring forward momentum across stakeholders.
  • Collect and synthesize district-level implementation and performance data, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and contribute to regular updates for TEA leadership and EDFA stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams, deadlines, dependencies, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience working across multiple organizations or stakeholder groups, with the ability to build relationships, communicate clearly, and keep teams aligned.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort using project plans, trackers, dashboards, and reporting tools to drive execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information, prepare materials, and communicate status, risks, and recommendations.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment while staying focused on quality, priorities, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Systems thinking and stakeholder-management judgment, with an understanding of how multiple workstreams connect to improve district outcomes.
  • Comfort using data to inform decisions, track implementation progress, identify trends, and support feedback loops for program improvement.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in program management, education systems, district operations, state education programs, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting complex initiatives that require coordination across internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience working with K-12 school systems, district leadership teams, state education agencies, technical assistance providers, or large-scale education initiatives.
  • Preferred familiarity with instructional systems, performance management, professional development, and large-scale program implementation.
