Hiring Salary: $4,600.33 - $6,250.00/Monthly

Under the direction of the Department Chair, the Program Manager oversees the administrative, educational, financial, and operational functions of the Department of Radiology, including the structure and workflow for the department and residency program. This position collaborates with the Department Chair, Program Director, and Associate Program Directors to ensure compliance with guidelines from ACGME, ABR, institutional, and departmental requirements while supporting excellence in resident education, faculty development, recruitment, and program operations. This position is responsible for maintaining a cost-effective, well-structured educational environment that supports patient care, education, and accreditation standards.

  1. Provides oversight of the departmental academic mission, including management of the residency coordinator, medical student (UME) coordinator and administrative support staff.

  2. Serves as director for Educational Development for Radiology, including: 1) curriculum design and alignment with ACGME, ABR, and institutional requirements, 2) program, resident, and faculty evaluations, 3) recruitment support and onboarding processes.

  3. Facilitates and manages faculty recruitment/hiring process.

  4. Advises the Chair on rules and procedures related to promotion and tenure of faculty and meets the College of Medicine, Knoxville submission deadlines.

  5. Works with faculty to align Radiology curricula with board certification and accreditation standards.

  6. Coordinates and manages all required reporting and statistical data for the Radiology program, including submissions to the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and the ACGME.

  7. Coordinates and manages multiple Radiology education budget accounts, including departmental and gift funds.

  8. Develops, prepares, and monitors the annual education budget; prepares monthly budget reports and variance summaries.

  9. Manages departmental activities related to GME accreditation and institutional compliance; analyzes program effectiveness and facilitates continuous improvement.

  10. Oversees yearly rental contract, insurance, utilities, and operating supplies for Nashville apartment.

  11. Processes all invoices for payment and petty cash reimbursement.

  12. Provides supervision for radiology administrative staff, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and completion of annual performance evaluations.

  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in an office setting; OR Master’s Degree in lieu of experience.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
