Project Administrator
Project Administrator
Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Administrator to join our Auckland Industrial team in a role that offers real variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
In this role, you’ll provide project and team administration support to the Auckland Industrial Section Manager, Team Leaders, Job Managers, and Project Managers/Directors working across multiple projects in the northern region. You’ll help establish and maintain the systems and processes that keep the team and project delivery running smoothly from coordinating inputs across disciplines and supporting project financial reporting and time capture, to ensuring key stakeholders stay informed and aligned.
You’ll quickly become a trusted go to person, providing a high-quality, professional service to both internal and external clients. With the autonomy to manage your own workflow and priorities, you will balance multiple demands while maintaining quality, momentum, and attention to detail. You will also play a role in driving process improvements, helping the team continually improve the way we work. A portion of the role supports team administration, helping the wider Auckland Industrial team stay connected, organised, and set up for success day to day. This will involve onboarding new starters, supporting the team with operational activities and organising team events.
Ko wai koe | About you
You bring proven experience in project administration or project controls, with confidence using document management and project management systems, applications, and financial tools. Experience with Oracle systems would be beneficial for this role. You’re well organised and known for your attention to detail, producing accurate, well-presented work while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
You’re a collaborative team member who communicates clearly and professionally, building positive working relationships with a wide range of people, including technical specialists and project leaders. Strong time management skills allow you to manage competing demands effectively, while your resilience and calm approach help you stay focused and responsive in a fast paced, delivery focused environment.
Ideally, you’ll bring experience from a consulting or professional services environment and a sound understanding of project-based work and/or personal assistance support. You take ownership of your role, seek feedback to continually improve, and enjoy contributing to team success through reliability, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help others do their best work.
