Job Summary

Design, engineer, program, and commission control and automation systems for building, energy, and industrial processes. Provide technical support and training to clients while managing comprehensive project documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and program control and automation systems using PLC/SCADA/HMI/DDC to meet client specifications in building, facilities, energy management, and industrial automation
  • Develop SCADA system designs and graphics to enhance system usability and monitoring
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of automation systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance
  • Manage project documentation including method statements, risk assessments, and operation & maintenance (O&M) manuals to support project delivery and client use
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as SOPs, panel wiring diagrams, I/O lists, test records, and software backup/configuration files for system integrity and traceability
  • Provide technical support and conduct training sessions for clients to enable effective system operation and maintenance
  • Develop, update, and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to validate automation software performance
  • Validate field devices, calibrate sensors, and verify communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP) across multiple vendor platforms in commissioned HVAC and electrical systems
  • Adhere strictly to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for all commissioning scripts and test reports to maintain quality and compliance
  • Apply deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards in automation projects
  • Work effectively on Greenfield and Brownfield project sites, adapting to diverse environments and project requirements

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of experience programming and enhancing automation systems using PLC/SCADA/HMI/DDC
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens and Schneider PLC systems, including Schneider EcoStruxure programming, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls and process control systems
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD for panel design and control system installation details
  • Experience in FAT/SAT execution for automation software
  • Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and servicing automation systems in data centers, healthcare, and pharmaceutical plants

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Understanding of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP
  • Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards
